Friends, More Tulips, and Sunburns.....OW My!

So since all of the tulips were not bloomin' when we went the first time I decided I wanted to go back out to the tulip festival. This time I drug along my stylin' friend Angela and her beautiful daughter Grace, we also met up for lunch with Amy, Anya, and Pam. So I proceeded to drag Angela out of the house at the ungodly hour of 9am....gasp! I know! How can one function at such an early hour? Mind you I am pretty much a morning person now that I have children, Angela not so much, she is my night owl friend. So we load up and head to Safeway to grab some doughnuts and coffee. After loading up the kids on a sugar high, we hit the Costco gas and are off on the freeway. Surprisingly the kids were excited but not mind blowingly loud! We get there after the 45 minute drive and offload, we had borrowed a wagon so we loaded all 3 kids into it and proceeded off. Ok so walking up to the displays from the parking lot is a slight incline....pulling 3 kids was insanely difficult! I definitely got my exercise! So the whole day I would hear comments about "how smart to bring a wagon," and "oh I should have brought my wagon," let me tell you....BIG MISTAKE. The handle was just not quite long enough to stand up straight and pull it and the ground being all dirt, mud, and what have you, it was murder to pull. Oh well the kids had fun with it, Ally even insisted on pulling it for awhile....I would have let her keep pulling it but there are those pesky child labor laws and all. So we walked up and down the flower rows and let the kids run free. They had a blast on the hay stack and pipe slide yet again, this time even Ally really got into climbing it and going down the pipe slide. We walked partially down one aisle where there was a tractor and the kids climbed on it and "drove" the tractor. We went and stood in the shoes again, although when I tried to photograph Dylan in the shoe he yells, "I don't want my picture taken!" Then he proceeds to try to run away before I can get a picture.

We met up with Amy, Anya, and Pam for a quick lunch, played for awhile more, walked up and down more aisles of flowers then decided we were exhausted and departed for the home front. Upon arriving home however it was becoming more and more apparent that the sun had gotten the better of us as we were all sunburned to a crisp! It was so worth it though!
