Dylan, also taken with my new lens.

It makes me so happy that they love each other so much!

Dylan loving bath time.

Jog-A-Thon!

Today Dylan's school did their Jog-A-Thon. Ally and I decided it would be fun to go and run around with him. Grandma and Grandpa Hotrum came to to help cheer Dylan along! Last year he was very timid and walked next to me the whole time, this year he was off and running pretty much the whole fifteen minutes.

Ally walked with me for about the first two minutes or so then she was off and running as well.
She is so looking forward to starting preschool in the fall! Thanks to everyone who pledged money this year!

Photo Friday

I am starting a new weekly photo entry. I take so many photos that I wanted to find a way to share more of them, this idea was "borrowed" from a couple blogs that I read. Without further ado, here is my first entry.

Preschool Christmas Program

Tonight we finally got to experience the preschool Christmas program that was postponed due to the "Arctic Blast." It was fabulous, there is nothing more heartwarming than seeing preschoolers belting out songs about loving Jesus and reciting memory verses. I am a very emotional Mommy but managed to only let the tears cloud my vision a couple times. Dylan's class was up first so I scooted down on the floor front and center to get some pictures of my handsome little man. He did mouth the memory verse but then it started to go downhill. He was putting fingers in his mouth and spinning around but the topper was....this:
Its too painful to actually type. Luckily he is so very handsome so it was cute and endearing, but we need to have a few more talks about those sorts of things! The rest of the program was amazing. There were time I just closed my eyes and soaked in the beautiful sound of these 3-5 year old worshipping, even though they may not know what that is at this point it was so pure and innocent. I am looking forward to many years of church and school programs and you can be sure you will hear about them all! Until then listen to a kid sing....its amazing!

A Birthday Pool Party

This year we decided to do a special birthday party for Ally since it is right after Christmas and she hasn't had a big party yet. So we rented out the Albany Community Pool and set forth to have a blast! So this afternoon we headed over to the pool for a great hour long swim time with all of friends and family. Here are some shots from the swimming time:

After our swimming time wrapped up we all headed back to the house for a pizza dinner. After Ally was done eating and everyone else was wrapping up their eating we started to open presents. We are so thankful and grateful to our friends and family for all the great presents that Ally received.

Finally we wrapped up the night with the cake and ice cream. Its a family tradition that the kids get their own little cake, so Ally had hers with a special Dora Princess Horse Drawn Pumpkin.

Thanks again to everyone who helped to make this a memorable event for Ally! Until the next party.....
