We celebrated my firstborn's birthday on Saturday. This birthday has been more difficult for me for whatever reason. He is just getting so independent and can do pretty much everything for himself. We celebrated with a BBQ party in our backyard. 
We has 2 kiddie pools, a water table, and our sandbox for the 10+ kids to enjoy. And boy, oh boy did they enjoy themselves! Kids were cannon-balling into pools, splashing and even in one case adding some sand to the pool!
I loved every minute of it....seeing my son have so much fun with his friends made me so happy. We all ate a ton of food and soaked up the beautiful sun. We sang to the birthday boy, cut the cake and opened presents. And when all was said and done....we were exhausted! But content and thankful for all the wonderful friends and family we have to celebrate with us! Thanks for making it yet another memorable one!!!
